 My
life of service to my Lord, is not from what lies in my past;
but the work Christ accomplished on the cross guaranteeing me a
future.
My service to my Lord is not about
me but all about Him; and because it is about Him, my call to
service was found in 1 Corinthians 10:26, “Let no man seek
his own, but each one the other’s well being.”
After a life of living away from
the Lord and seeking after materialistic possessions, I was
called to be a servant and steward unto Christ. The works and
possessions I acquired and took ownership over were in one day
called to accountability by the true owner, The Lord Jesus
Christ. He didn’t show me a vision of my future, nor did any
miraculous event utter me into a state of reality. My worldly
life began to shake and crumble when the words of a believer and
martyr first entered my ears. These words, more than anything in
my life, caused me to see a vision that would lead to what The
Liberty Highway Christian Center and it’s ministries are all
about… “He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep to
gain what he cannot lose,”
The Lord has shown me that if I
will be faithful with what He has given me, as a steward, and
return it to Him with a gain I would lack for nothing. I began
with the precious gift of my wife Marilyn. I vowed to begin to
fulfill in my wife, that which He commanded Adam in the garden;
to cultivate and maximize and to make her the best she could be.
I now see the rewards of that vow,
36 years of marriage, six children, 12 grandchildren, and a life
that is full. My ability to accomplish what I do in just one day
alone is evidence that it is by His Grace, His Mercy and His
Power. All that I accomplish is not with my education or my
ability but the Power of the Holy Spirit that operates through
me.
To this end and this end alone I
commit myself, in all that I do, it is not about me it is
all about Him.
